In April 2016, following a needs analysis of health centres and discussions with local partners, the decision was taken to open a new project working with Kalinde Health Centre, which serves a catchment area of approximately 33,500 peoplewithin Phalombe District.

The Problem Tree Analysis, conducted in May in conjunction with our partners at the District Health Office and Kalinde Health Centre, helped to identify and explore the main health-related challenges that are faced by the health centre and communities in the surrounding area. The results of the problem tree analysis will help Inter Aide and our partners to develop a project strategy that focuses on the area’s most pressing needs and develop solutions that are relevant and sustainable.
