Inter Aide is currently carrying out 5 programs in Mozambique in the following fields:
- WASH program: raising awareness about sanitation and hygiene, building and rehabilitating boreholes and wells, developing maintenance services for water pumps thanks to hand pump mechanics and spare parts shops.
- Health : improving mother and child health, malaria and diarrhoea control, strengthening of local and community healthcare delivery, supporting behaviour change for better health, hygiene and healthcare seeking practices at family level.
In 2021, 27,016 families were supported by these actions.
The current areas of intervention are located in the North of the country:
- Memba, Nacala-a-Vehla, Mossuril and Monapo districts
The areas of intervention are characterized by the presence of vulnerable farming communities that have a low literacy level, and that are located far away from basic services (health centers and protected water points).
1 local partner : OSUWELA – Maintenance networks have been developed in partnership with the OSUWELA cooperative since 2013.
