Inter Aide and Katchale Health Centre have worked with Banja la Mtsogolo (BLM – Marie Stopes) to extend family planning outreach services in the catchment area. BLM already provide outreach services once per month at Katchale Health Centre. They have now extended this service to remote villages surrounding Khuzi village clinic.
The first outreach service occurred on 1st July 2014. The Inter Aide facilitator and government health worker based at Khuzi were able to mobilise 14 women for tubal ligations and 10 women for long term implants. The outreach service will continue to visit Khuzi when enough women are interested to receive services.
