Founded in 2009 by two Inter Aide employees, Concreta is a Spanish association that is inspired by Inter Aide approach. Its mission is to launch or support specific development projects in the poorest communities, aiming to strengthen local dynamics leading to sustainable improvements in living conditions.
Its actions are based on a diagnosis shared by the subjects of the project and its partners, and propose specific activities that meet with the stakeholders’ needs and understanding. Stakeholders may be community leaders, families, or local organizations. The areas of intervention are defined by the type of needs, yet the current team has more expertise in supporting rural primary schools, improving community health centers and strengthening local organizations like associations and agricultural cooperatives.
Concreta works currently in Haiti in the field of community health and organizational strengthening.
