CLTS is a method for\u00a0<span style=\"color: #4d4b4b;\">mobilising communities to eliminate open defecation. Communities conduct their own\u00a0assessment\u00a0of open defecation and take their own action to\u00a0prevent it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>At the start of 2014 the Traditional Authorities of the area agreed to pass a by-law requiring all families to have latrines. CLTS is the first activity that has been implemented to make sure all families are compliant with this new by-law.
